July 2023 Newsletter

July 6, 2023

Happy July, Red Bike riders! Wow, what a month we had in June! It was the busiest month we have ever had, and we couldn’t have done it without all our amazing riders. Whether you’ve been using Red Bike for two weeks or two years, we appreciate your loyalty and support. We have come so far, these past eight years, and we are excited to see where the future takes us. Thank you again for being a part of the Red Bike community. Let’s make the most of the rest of this summer and finish out the year rolling strong!

Stations in Walnut Hills and Upcoming Launch Party

Exciting news! The Walnut Hills neighborhood now has four new Red Bike stations! You can find these stations at Peebles’ Corner, Gilbert Ave and Eden Park, McMillan and Concord, and McMillan and Victory Parkway. We want to thank Walnut Hills and the City of Cincinnati for their support in making this possible. Let’s continue to work together to improve our neighborhoods and make Cincy a just and joyful region to live in! Stay updated with our social media to see some fun things happening for the launch of these new stations, including a neighborhood launch party at the end of July!

Red Bike in Denmark

Elese is on the road again! Red Bike Engagement Manager Elese Daniel is currently in Denmark as part of a Sustainable Transportation course with the Transportation Research and Education Center (TREC) at Portland State University, thanks to support from The Devou Good Foundation. The course examines how the urban areas and transportation systems of Copenhagen have been designed to promote transportation by foot, bicycle, and public transportation. As part of the course, Elese is keeping a daily blog and sharing about what she and her classmates are seeing and learning. She’ll bring those connections and all that knowledge back to the Cincy region (and maybe a sweet treat for the team too). Check out her blog posts here. #redbikeoverseas

Pop Up Bike Shops

Red Bike had a fantastic time attending the Evanston Pop-up Bike Shop with Queen City Bike, Tri-State Trails, and MoBo Bicycle Co-op on June 17th. We love connecting with the community and sharing the love and joys of biking with you all. Don’t worry if you missed this previous one because another PUBS is coming up next Saturday, July 15th! Ride over to Gil Lynn Park in Dayton, KY, from 12 PM to 2 PM to get your bike tuned up or talk with the community about what’s happening in the bike world!
