Red Bike is expanding to three new neighborhoods – Walnut Hills, Avondale, and Evanston – and we want to work with you to celebrate bikeshare and biking in your community. We are launching a new Community Ambassadors program rooted in equity, connection, and opportunity.
This program allows us to partner with existing neighborhood organizations to build community support for bikeshare and biking by creating fun and engaging bike rides + events, for residents to participate in and learn more about bicycling.
Interested in becoming a Community Ambassador and connecting your neighborhood with bikes?
Red Bike seeks passionate, community-focused nonprofit organizations serving the Evanston, Avondale, and Walnut Hills neighborhoods to be our first cohort of Community Ambassadors. We are looking for folks who are excited to get outside, ride bikes, and spread the joy of biking in their communities.
Community Ambassadors work to break down barriers to bicycling in their neighborhoods and promote fun and safe bicycling by organizing community bike rides. Organizations that partner as Community Ambassadors must be willing to gain the skills necessary to educate community members about Red Bike, bike infrastructure, bicycle safety, and bike riding opportunities.
