Dear Red Bike Riders-
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
On March 29th, 2020 we were directed by the City of Cincinnati to temporarily shut down Red Bike as part of ongoing efforts to protect public health. We have shut down the system, and it will remain shuttered until we receive further instructions.
We know that many of you rely on Red Bike for your primary means of transportation. We are so proud to help you navigate our region. Over the last several weeks, we have been doing our best to keep our bikes clean and safe for you so that you can get to your critical needs during these uncertain times. That said, we completely understand and support our public officials as they work to keep us all safe and healthy.
If you need to find alternative transportation for the next few weeks, we encourage you to look to METRO in Ohio and TANK in Kentucky, both of which are fare-free during the crisis. Or, you can look to your local bike shop to continue to get around on two wheels.
As you know, Red Bike is a local non-profit. Shutting down for a while will not be easy for us, but it pales in comparison to the sacrifices that so many of our neighbors are making to help keep us all safe. We hope you consider keeping your Red Bike membership active during this temporary shutdown. It would mean so much to our efforts to continue to provide A+ bikeshare in Greater Cincinnati. Plus, a little birdie told me more e-bikes are coming this summer.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 513-621-2453.
We will get through this together, looking out for one another.
Stay Healthy Friends!
